Grown in the Darjeeling region of North East India, in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains, this tea is one of the finest available. This pack conatins 25 envelope teabags, each filled with the full-bodied tea, which has a wine-like aroma and intriguing flavour. Darjeeling tea will produce a bright amber colour once brewed.
Often described as the ‘Champagne of teas’, Darjeeling is lighter than most black teas, with a distinctive fruity, muscatel character.
Black tea contains polyphenols, a type of antioxidant. Caffeine and an amino acid called L-theanine are also found in black tea, which is said can improve alertness and focus – even more than coffee!
Enjoy this tea when you want to impress guests or add a bit of glamour into your afternoon! This tea is the most exquisite of blends.
Using traditional methods of blending and tasting, this tea has been carefully crafted by the Miles team, using Miles experTeas!
Based on the edge of Exmoor and on Somerset’s coastline, we take inspiration from our beautiful surroundings to create a cuppa that embodies a little escape, evoking memories of a holiday in the West Country, with each sip. Our attention to detail and experience ensures a consistent, flavourful tea that will see you constantly topping up your mug.
We are founding members of the Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP). The ETP is a not-for-profit organisation, which convenes tea companies, developing agencies, governmental and non-governmental organisations to improve the lives of communities within the tea sector. Each purchase directly helps to provide better living and working conditions for those working in the tea trade.

100% black tea
Black tea is best made with water brought to a full boil and used immediately for the tea to release its full flavour (if you're using a teapot remember to warm the pot first). Use one teaspoon of loose-leaf tea per person.
Allow to brew for 3-5 minutes. If you like your tea strong add more tea, don't steep for longer as this will turn the flavours bitter.
Many people feel the special qualities of this drink are lost if milk is added, so Darjeeling is best drunk on its own or with a little lemon
Miles’ Darjeeling tea is available in 100gor 500gpacks of loose leaf tea or 25 or 250 envelope teabags.
Like the Darjeeling is more than the average cuppa, the Jammy Dodger is more than the average biscuit. Filled with a fruity jam, sandwiched between two layers of shortbread, this biscuit will bring out the light, fruity notes in the tea. If you’re feeling adventurous you could even make your own for totally indulgent, sophisticated afternoon treat.
Make sure you store your tea in an airtight container – a tin is better than plastic, or seal up the packaging it arrives in. Although tea feels dry, it contains 3 % moisture and oils that are essential to its flavour. If not properly stored these can evaporate. Keep your tea in a fairly cool, dry place, which is out of sunlight and try to keep away from any spices that could taint the flavour.
