Russian Caravan is a blend of Keemun, Lapsang, Yunnan & Nilgiri teas. Although, it’s a blend of China teas, the name Russian Caravan comes from the 18th century camel caravans that brought China tea to Europe.
Delicate and smoky, this is a truly evocative tea with a rustic flavour and warmth that'll instantly transport you to magical campfires and wilderness.
Black tea contains polyphenols, a type of antioxidant. Caffeine and an amino acid called L-theanine are also found in black tea, which is said can improve alertness and focus – even more than coffee!
Warm up when you are out and about – having an adventure, camping or in the garden – with this slightly smoky blend.
Using traditional methods of blending and tasting, this tea has been carefully crafted by the Miles team, using Miles experTeas!
Based on the edge of Exmoor and on Somerset’s coastline, we take inspiration from our beautiful surroundings to create a cuppa that embodies a little escape, evoking memories of a holiday in the West Country, with each sip. Our attention to detail and experience ensures a consistent, flavourful tea that will see you constantly topping up your mug.
We are founding members of the Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP). The ETP is a not-for-profit organisation, which convenes tea companies, developing agencies, governmental and non-governmental organisations to improve the lives of communities within the tea sector. Each purchase directly helps to provide better living and working conditions for those working in the tea trade.

Oolong, Keemun and Lapsang Souchong
Black tea is best made with water brought to a full boil and used immediately for the tea to release its full flavour (if you're using a teapot remember to warm the pot first). Use one teaspoon of loose-leaf tea per person.
Allow to brew for 3-5 minutes. If you like your tea strong add more tea, don't steep for longer as this will turn the flavours bitter.
Drink with milk, with lemon or on its own.
Our Russian Caravan tea is available in packs of 100g or 500g of loose leaf tea.
This is a lovely tea to enjoy if you are outside – whether that be in the garden, camping or exploring nature– with a nutty flapjack.
Make sure you store your tea in an airtight container – a tin is better than plastic, or seal up the packaging it arrives in. Although tea feels dry, it contains 3 % moisture and oils that are essential to its flavour. If not properly stored these can evaporate. Keep your tea in a fairly cool, dry place, which is out of sunlight and try to keep away from any spices that could taint the flavour.
A fine blend of pure China Keemun teas, this light tea is layered with malty and smoky flavours
Strong and smoky China black tea, Lapsang Souchong is as delicious as it is distinctive
